All of 2017 ...the art I created in one post.

Wow! I did not post anything for 2017 that is amazing. I will post everything in one list and the most recent will be at the bottom of the page. I thought it would be easier that way so there would not be so many posts to bombard you with. I have been been busy working full time, swapping crafts through the mail with other crafters, being exhausted from health issues, teaching classes to local people at Panera Bread on quilling, taking free craft classes at the local libraries and being busy exploring new art mediums. So you will see some new art so hold on to your seat and lets explore all the crafts I created this year. Click on each image and possibly it will come up a little bigger on the screen.  I do post on facebook and instagram way more often then here. Check the social media links in my blog link and you will find those links. Enjoy.

Quilling or paper filigree is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. The paper is wound around a quilling tool to create a basic coil shape. The paper is then glued at the tip and these shaped coils are arranged to form flowers, leaves, and various ornamental patterns similar to ironwork.

Children age 12 and older, teens and adults are welcome to attend. If your a beginner or at a higher level I can provide teaching and have the time to work on projects that are simple or that can challenge you.

Quilling and Zentangle 3d Purple Doll

The 3d doll took me 11 hours to create her. I started first with the skirt and zentangled with a Bic purple pen and created the pattern from ideas online. I sketched it out first in pencil then erased the pencil marks and went over it in pen. The zentangle part took three hours just for the Bic pen part. Then I built the body around the skirt. The arms took the longest and struggled with them. I never add faces to the dolls because I am afraid I will mess it up and have to start it over. Quilling paper was used for the body. I used manila file folders and shredded my own strips for the skin tone. I had feathers at home so I cut some pieces off and added to the hat. The doll was finished on July 30, 2013.
