November to December 2014 Art created by me

My latest creations from November through to December 2014. Let me walk you through the different pieces and why I created them. I have other items but have not photographed them yet. Maybe I will post them here later or wait until January. Merry Christmas and Happy Near Year. Hope you all have a blessed 2015.
The quilled cross above was created for pastor appreciation month in October 2014. It sits in a 4 by 6 frame. I gave it to the pastor.
There is a retired co-worker who is dealing with brain cancer. She has been desiring something quilled from me for awhile. She loves the color purple. It is large star or snowflake. It is possibly 5 or 6 inches across when you place it in your hand. It was meant to be as a Christmas ornament. Created October 2014.
For the picture above I taught a quilling class in either October or November at the Troy Library and we made snow man cards. I got my inspiration from online.  This a pin to made to wear on jacket or shirt. It is rolled paper beads f…

Crafts projects created between August 2014 to October 2014

I have been busy being creative and have been behind posting blog postings since I moved to my own apartment in August 30th. During that time of the move and after and into October I have been creative since I had also craft classes and craft shows and the occasional side project request to prepare for. I also got inspired by creating paper beads too. I took a class at one of the local libraries then joined a bunch of Facebook pages to learn more about paper beads and to get inspired by the other artists on the web. I also have been getting curious about newspaper weaving. I got curious after I weaved the vases I made after I watched you tube videos on how to do that craft. Not sure if I will take up Newspaper weaving but it has got me interested it looks like wicker after the artist has weaved the newspaper tubes into whatever project they are working on. I dare you to look up newspaper weaving on you tube and see the amazing things people make with paper. Very entertaining. Stay tun…

April/May 2014 - Princess Doll, Beer Mug, Birthday card

Here are my latest art pieces I have created in April/May 2014. Click on any of the photos below and you will be able to see the photos in a larger format. The above piece above is a quilled Princess with white roses and a white crown. The tan color of face and arms is made from manila file folders. I have not made faces for any of the dolls I make since I am not happy with the ones I have created since they look really bad and I think they ruin the doll. The dolls stands about 3 to 3.5 inches tall.
I made this birthday card above for my roommate Todd. I used  color pencils to color it in after I used a pencil to sketch out the  front of the card and the inside of the card. I got inspired from the web
to create the card.
I made this balloon and heart flower card for my mother for her birthday.

The above zentangle sits in a 8 by 11 frame and sits in my cubicle
at work. This was done in purple ink pen. Took several hours to
do possibly over 4 hours. Did it in small portions so it t…
