New Items I made during the month of December 2013

Recently made items for co-workers and people who requested items to be made for ornaments or holiday gifts. Just click on the photos to see them much bigger.
For the above angel. I sold this one for $15. It stands about 5 inches tall. I used quilling paper for the hair, wings, halo, and bow and sleeve edges and edge of bottom of dress. The rest of the body/dress is tan or khaki color and that is made from recycled manila file folders.

For the above angel. I sold this one for $20. It stands about 6 to 7 inches tall. I used quilling paper for the hair, wings, halo, and bow and sleeve edges and edge of bottom of dress. The rest of the body/dress is tan or khaki color and that is made from recycled manila file folders.  Just some random snowflakes I made for my mother.

My October - December 2013 Zentangle Designs

While I sit at work half an hour before I am due to be there or at breaks and meal times and during the hour I am waiting for TABE test students to take their tests at work. I sit and be creative. Sometimes I go through other zentangle sites to get ideas what to doodle. I do part of the template in pencil first before deciding to change it over to pen. I use bic or gel pens depending on my mood. I find it very relaxing and usually get lost in time.  Below each picture is where you can find the template online and print it off for yourself. I have been really busy preparing for craft shows and making things for people that the zentangle doodling have been put on hold. Maybe I will do more after the new year. The above zentangle dare #49 came from template that can be found from this site

Latest quilling work for November to December 2013

I created a few side projects for a few co-workers and friends and got inspired by the internet. Here is my latest work. Some have been sold already and others may get sold at the next craft show. If you click on the photos you can see them in a much bigger format.
The green high heal above was requested by a co-worker for a Christmas gift for a family member. I went online and looked for an outline of a shoe to cut out and shape the quilling around it. These are the two shoe patterns I used. I made them smaller the patterns before printing them. http://www.favecrafts.com/master_images/Halloween-Crafts/Witch-Heels-Candy-Favors-Pattern.jpg or https://app.box.com/s/jqiojiso5arnx4vehd0k
The above picture of a turkey is made out of toilet paper and paper towel rolls. I painted the rolls first then when they dried I cut the rolls up. As for the center body I used manila file folders to roll up 2 separate circles until they bigger then a silver dollar. Then I pushed each of them out to make…

Each person who attends this class will make one turkey to take home. The round bodies are made from
recycled manila file folders and I will provide all materials for the class. The main shape that could be
used when creating the Turkey is a tear drop shape. I tried to keep this simple for everyone. I give
everyone the chance to explore and create their own kind of turkey. The tail feathers could possible
be different for each person since they have the choice to use different  shapes for the large tail feathers.
The person taking the class does not need to make exactly what I made in the photo.  Each person taking
the class can explore and add words or anything else they want to add that represents thanksgiving
